I’ve been kindly gifted the @mellownaturals brand new serums to try out and I’ve been using them for about 2 months now. Firstly, I love the minimalistic packaging, it looks so cute on my vanity! The brand is Thai based, it uses non toxic ingredients carefully handpicked from Thailand and Asia! I was so excited to try them, I’ve been to Thailand a few years ago and fell in love with the country so I was really happy to try my first skincare brand made in Thailand!
My faves are the Vitamin C serum & the Hydration Drops.
The Vit C serum contains magnesium ascorbic phosphate which is a more stable and non-irritating derivate of vitamin c that is more suitable for sensitive skin than many other vitamin c formulas. It also has niacinamide, jojoba oil and tangerine peel extract that’s an extremely rich vitamin c source. I use this during my morning routine, I think it’s a great daily serum, it’s very light and absorbs so fast, it’s great to use under makeup. And it leaves me glowy too!
The hydration drops are absolutely lovely! It’s basically a face oil (and I’m obsessed with oils) made of 3 rich antioxidants: argan, rosehip and strawberry. I never tried any face oil containing strawberry seed oil so I was definitely curious about this one. Turns out the strawberry seed oil is rich in antioxidants, vitamin c, folic acid, AHA’s, salicylic acid and omega-3 fatty acids! Who knew? Cause I certainly didn’t.The oil is also light and fast absorbing it’s a pleasure to use! I normally mix it with my moisturiser for that extra hydration boost
The Botanical concentrated face serum worked especially well for me during these cold winter months. It’s an all natural brightening and pore minimising oil based serum, it’s rich in coconut oil, tumeric and ginger and I think it’s perfect for dry skin.
I love the natural, non toxic ingredients the brand uses and it’s minimalistic, effective approach to skincare and I will continue to use these little gems.
